این رشته، از رشته های حساس و ضروری است بنابراین داوطلب باید از نظر جسمی، روحی و روانی آمادگی‌های لازم را برای خدمت در محیط‌ های دشوار مثل دریا، کوهستان و شرایط بلاهای طبیعی و در تعطیلات رسمی را داشته باشد.

فارغ التحصیلان این رشته می توانند در رشته های اقدامات اولیه درمان، رانندگی آمبولانس، حمل بیمار یا مصدوم و اطلاع‌ رسانی مشغول به کار شوند.
